"Storm at Sea"

My latest painting depicts a ship at the mercy of the wind, currents, and waves. It pitches, rolls, yaws, heaves, and sways, but has not overturned and swamped. Hope is represented by a break in the clouds.
I was inspired by the maritime painter Ivan Aivazovsky, one of the greatest masters of marine art. He painted 6,000 seascapes in the 1850's.
My favorite color is blue, so it was enjoyable for me to paint this "Storm at Sea."

The moon hung suspended over the distant mountains in the land the Shoshone loved. There is a harmony and peace to this place. I will miss it when I leave
